The power of art has not yet been widely known in my country. This acknowledgement fuels xau-chu to launch our first online events in order to debunk unfair prejudices about arts, therefore, raise awareness about art therapy for mentally-illed people. “CHAP” invited some experienced educators with degree in humanities and successfully attracted 300 registrations across Vietnam. Our first event received a 4.8 star rate and many positive comments by the attendees in the feedback form.

Dreamy Eyes

“Dreamy Eyes” is a special art gallery exhibiting pictures and narratives of autistic children. Inspired by theories of art therapy, xau-chu wanted to use art as a bridge for the autism to express unsayable thoughts. In this event, xau-chu corporated with Albert Center (CAAE) and HOPE Center for mentally-disordered people in Hanoi to amplify our impact.

By showcasing more than 30 “pure” artworks, xau-chu not only aims to change prejudices about the autistic among the society but also instills trust and positive thoughts in these special children.

Artism

Our flagship innovation was launching an interactive online platform named Artism, allowing users to co-create artworks with mentally-illed people. Art and creativity can be a bridge connecting person to person beyond the limitation of ordinary means of communication.

To further spread our image, xau-chu PROJECT turned those co-drawn pictures into a trend. As users can customised the remaining half of the artworks, they turn creativity and empathy into an unique picture to "flex" it on social media

OUR BELOVED SUMMER

After the success of CHAP, Mat tho and the interactive website, xau-chu PROJECT organised a short summber camp at Albert Center (CAAE) to experience the real-life difficulities of being an autistic person. We gained many precious learnings, learned to express love and also had a good time there.
